What is it like to have a dream come true - Part 1

Well, it started with a delay of two hours. After twenty two years of waiting, what is another two hours. The plane could not take off due to fog in Rotterdam and Rome. Thankfully it cleared after one hour and fifteen minutes. Just as the plane nearly took off, a man's cellphone rang with Auld Lang Syne tune. He promptly killed it.

The airborne journey there took me directly overhead the Swiss Alps. These babies poke at the sky like the fingers of an infant touching that overhead toy they have over their crib. The view was pretty amazing. Hate to think I am down there yelling "Help!", an image thanks to too many adventure movies.

The flight to Rome was otherwise pretty smooth and picturesque, the pilot even took us on a 360 degree spin above Rome before touching down with Gillette Shave smoothness. Mother paid a compliment through the blond Transavia air hostess. The next thing we knew was the summer heat quite unlike Rotterdam with its autumn-like temperatures.

The first thing I did upon my feet touching ground in Fiumicino Airport was suck in the air. A big long, deep, luxurious inhalation.

I was finally in Roma, Italia.
